42nd ANNUAL PELICAN HOME TOUR
TOMORROW (SATURDAY) MARCH 20, 2010 (10AM - 3PM)
Cocoa Beach Woman's Club will host the 42nd Annual Pelican Home Tour on Saturday, March 20 from 10:00am to 3:00 pm. There are four homes included in the tour, and door prizes will be awarded. This is a major fundraiser for the Woman's Club, with all proceeds helping to provide funds for a variety of scholarships. Some scholarships will be awarded to students graduating from CB Jr/Sr High School. These $1000 scholarships are based on academic achievement, financial need, community involvement and high standards of moral and ethical conduct.
Home Tour funds will also support scholarships that will be awarded to "Women Returning to the Workforce" who attend Brevard Community College and are enrolled in an Associate Degree Program, or other accredited college training program.
Additional Home Tour Funds support awarding multiple $50 savings bonds to select outstanding 6th graders at Cape Canaveral, Roosevelt, Our Saviors, and Freedom Seven Elementary Schools. In addition we support an Outstanding Athlete Award, as well as "Project Graduation", and the CB Jr/Sr High School Band, Orchestra, and Chorus.
Pelican Home Tour tickets are available now for $10 per person, in advance, at the following businesses: ANN LIA GIFT SHOP - 321-783-2323, 38 South Atlantic Avenue Cocoa Beach; SHOBHA’S BOUTIQUE & SWIM WEAR - 321-784-4441, 2031 N Atlantic Ave (Banana River Square / Publix Shopping Center) Cocoa Beach, and at THE BATH COTTAGE 321-690-2284, 425 Brevard Ave (Cocoa Village). Tickets can be purchased on the day of the tour for $12 each at either of these Home Tour Homes: 43 River Falls Drive Cocoa Beach, or 601 Shorewood Drive Building D Condo # D 401 Cape Canaveral.
